Ingredients:


2 cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup milk

3 ½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp salt

3 large eggs



Instructions:


1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.


2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.


3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.


4. Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.


5. Incorporate Vanilla: Stir in the vanilla extract.


6. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.


7. Pour and Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.


8. Cool: Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.


9. Frosting: Once cooled, frost with your favorite frosting.
